The Clinical Practicum Program

Preparing Therapists While Serving the Community

The Janus Community Counseling Services Clinical Practicum Program is focused on developing quality clinicians as they

meet with individuals, kids, teens, couples, and families.   The purpose of the program is designed to be a thoughtful exchange between the  community looking for increased mental healthcare and clinicians-in-training looking for a solid practicum

opportunity while under licensed supervision and support.

JCCS is currently affiliated with several reputable  academic graduate programs. It adheres to The Board of Behavioral Sciences' rigorous criteria for students pursuing California licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy.  Practicum and internship students receive training in clinical case consultation, various psychotherapy techniques and approaches, and multicultural issues in therapy.

Our therapists meet with individuals of all ages, socio-economic backgrounds, personal orientations, abilities, and disabilities, at an affordable rate.

The program  facilitates  a  fruitful path from academia to pragmatic understanding,  increased competency, and the sensitivity it takes to embody a vocational passion to see people well.

Each person enters the world "called," like an oak tree, to fulfill their soul’s agenda.
